What is Form 889?
Form 889, also known as a Section 889 form, is used to certify that a company is not selling covered telecommunications equipment to the federal government and does not use such equipment or services from prohibited companies. Section 889 regulations apply to grants, contracts, and cooperative agreements. It is required for federal government contractors to ensure their entire global supply chain is devoid of equipment or services from banned Chinese technology or surveillance companies.
